Excerpt From DARK SIDE HOSPITAL
Noah Spencer, M.D. quickened his pace as he weaved through the patient-filled corridors. As he approached the Emergency Room, he wondered what this problem would entail. Since assuming the position of Medical Director of Salyer Medical Center, he had been assigned the task of defusing volatile situations with patients and their families. Now he faced another.
Noah didn't like emergency room issues. Usually they involved complaints about prolonged waiting times to be treated or waiting for test results.
Noah rounded a corner and overtook Lupe Rivera pushing a cart full of clean linen.
"Hi, Doc," said Lupe. "On the way to the emergency room, ain't you?"
"Yeah, how did you know, Lupe?" Foolish question Noah thought. Lupe knows everything that goes on in this hospital.
"You might have some trouble with this one, Doc."
"What is it?"
"Hostile father," he replied. "Says the E.R. doc misdiagnosed his child yesterday."
